The highest governing body of ARIS is the Supervisory Board. The Supervisory Board includes representatives of government bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic, representatives of local government bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as representatives of civil society represented by legitimate and registered non-governmental organizations.
The Supervisory Board consists of the following members:
1) seven representatives of government bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic (KR):
- representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, appointed by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic from among the employees of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic or the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- a representative of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, appointed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic from among the members of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic or from among the employees of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic (ex officio);
- Minister of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic (ex officio);
- Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (ex officio);
- Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic (ex officio);
- plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in one of the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic, appointed by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic;
2) seven representatives of local government bodies:
- Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Villages and Towns of the Kyrgyz Republic (ex officio);
- Executive Director of the Association of Cities of the Kyrgyz Republic (ex officio);
- four representatives from local government bodies of rural communities (heads of aiyl okmotu), who are elected by the Association of Local Government Bodies of Villages and Towns of the Kyrgyz Republic at a meeting of the Association;
- one representative from local governments of urban communities (mayor), elected by the Association of Cities of the Kyrgyz Republic at a meeting of the Association;
3) seven representatives of civil society:
- Chairman of the Board of the public association “Counterpart-Sheriktesh” (ex officio);
- six representatives of registered Kyrgyz non-profit organizations, whose candidacies are proposed by the ARIS Executive Director and approved by a simple majority of the remaining members of the supervisory board.
