New laboratories at Kyrgyz State Technical University
An official ceremony of inauguration of two new laboratories and two classrooms took place at the Kyrgyz State Technical University on July 2, 2025. New equipment will be used for training / post-graduate training of professionals for the water supply and sanitation sector.
The ceremony was attended by
- Odete Muximpua, TTL, Sr Water & Sanitation Specialist;
- Mirlan Chynybayev, Rector of KSTU;
- Urmatbek Kadyrov, head of water supply and wastewater disposal operation unit;
- Korchubai uulu Erlan, Project Coordinator etc.
New equipment was procured under the Cooperation Agreement between ARIS and KSTU as part of the project for total value of KGS 12 million. The list of equipment included:
- computers;
- interactive board;
- MFUs;
- Digital microscope;
- Portable active chlorine tester;
- Muffle furnace etc.The new laboratories will become a basis for development of professionals for the entire water sector. They are designed for academic and practical training, studies and onsite testing of water quality and wastewater.

Over 155 specialists already received training using new technical equipment and classrooms supported by graduation certificates issued by the Ministry of Education and Science. The new training program, shall cover all regions of Kyrgyzstan.
