An Interdepartmental Steering Committee meeting on implementation of the Naryn Program was held

The Drinking Water Supply and Sewerage Development Department under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic held the Interdepartmental Steering Committee meeting on implementation of the Naryn Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development Program (Original and Additional Financing).

The meeting was chaired by Azamat Zhanyshbekovich Shadmanov, Director of the Drinking Water Supply and Sewerage Development Department and Chairman of the Interdepartmental Steering Committee.

During the meeting, a progress report on the Program's implementation for 2025 was presented. Detailed information on the progress achieved during the construction of drinking water supply systems in rural communities, as well as on the rehabilitation of sanitary facilities in social institutions was provided.

Furthermore, the meeting discussed institutional development activities, sanitation and hygiene rehabilitation works and the effectiveness of the Beneficiary Feedback Mechanism, which is functioning under the Program during the reporting period. Following the discussion, the Steering Committee members unanimously approved the report on works completed under the Program for 2025 and made appropriate decisions on continuing the coordination of further activities.

Interdepartmental Steering Committee performs overall coordination of activities on implementation of the Naryn Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development Program, financed by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Development Bank. This Steering Committee includes representatives from the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in Naryn Oblast, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the Program Coordinator.
