ARIS Executive Director visited subprojects in Issyk-Kul Region

January 23, 2026: Accompanied by the Project Coordinator Erlan Korchubai uulu, the ARIS Executive Director Mars Naspekov paid visits to subprojects being implemented under the Sustainable Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development Project in Issyk-Kul Region.

The site visits covered subprojects Lichiu-Orultu and Karo’ol-Dobo with ongoing works at high level of implementation for all three components while some activities were completed.

Mars Naspekov met with contractors to discuss and review progress of works, their quality and further stages of implementation. He underlined the importance of compliance with design solutions, construction standards and regulations.

The Executive Director emphasized on the sustainability of new water supply and sanitation facilities, simultaneous implementation of civil works and institutional development activities including installation of water meters at individual households and training of personnel for further operation of new schemes.

Following the site visits, Mr. Naspekov made relevant recommendations to contractors and other actors and outlined priorities for next stages.
