The World Bank’s Implementation Support Mission for the Sustainable Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development Project

July 3, 2025 Bishkek. At the mission wrap-up meeting held in Bishkek the Bank and ARIS teams summarized the project progress, discussed outcomes achieved and plans for subsequent period.

The mission team composed of

• Odete Muximpua, TTL, Sr Water & Sanitation Specialist;

• Togzhan Alibekova, Water Management Analyst; and
• other specialists involved in the project implementation.

ARIS was represented by

• Mars Naspekov, Executive Director;

 • Korchubai uulu Erlan, Project Coordinator; and

• project team.

The mission team visited sites in Osh, Chui and Issyk-Kul where subprojects are being implemented; they reviewed both completed and ongoing works gaining a picture of actual status of project activities in the fields including meetings with local teams.

The Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation Development Project is aimed at improvement of access to safe drinking water and sanitation for rural communities and sustainable water management.
